An SEO-optimised article must meet certain criteria when being written, as these are the factors search engines use to rank web pages in their results. Today, we share five basic tips that will help you gain visibility and appear at the top of search engine results.

The good news is that SEO is free – you can’t achieve it by paying – but it’s a slow process, requiring regular content updates on your website. Let’s get started with the five key points:

1. Choose the right keywords.

Keywords are the terms users use to search for information on engines like Google. When selecting keywords, make sure they are relevant to your article’s topic and have a high search volume.

2. Use the keyword in the title, URL, and body of the article.

The title is one of the most crucial factors for SEO. It’s essential to include the primary keyword in the title. You can also use it within the body of the text and in the URL. Avoid overusing keywords – search engines can detect when you’re trying to manipulate search results. To prevent this, use related keywords in the article and include the main keyword only once.

3. Write high-quality content.

This is the most critical factor for SEO and will be covered in detail in another article. Search engines aim to display quality content to remain efficient. Therefore, make sure to write informative, well-written, and easy-to-understand articles with a clear and straightforward structure that offers real value to the user. Always include a main title (H1) and divide sections with subheadings and paragraphs. Very importantly: proofread your writing and correct any grammatical or spelling errors.

4. Use images and videos.

Complement the text with images and videos that help explain the content in a graphical and visual way.

5. Link the article to similar or complementary ones.

It’s advisable to add web links to related content to provide additional information and improve your website’s connectivity. You can also add a button directing readers to your contact page.

 

With these five tips, you’ll not only create a blog post with SEO that can attract more visitors to your site, but you’ll also capture the reader’s attention with engaging content, making them want to learn more about your product or service.
